CAMPaM Module IV

 

 

Today's healthcare scene is changing rapidly. There is a growing interest in seeking alternative methods of healing that may complement traditional medicine. Recognizing this growing interest and changing scenery, a professional yet practical study program has been designed, namely: CAMPaM™, specifically with chaplains and Clinical Pastoral Education students in mind.

This one day seminar is an introduction to CAMPaM, Complementary Alternative Methods of Healing and Pastoral Ministry, a four module course approved for continuing chaplaincy education and development by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) and the Association of Professional Chaplains. (APC)

Objective:

To introduce the terminology and meaning
To explain the basics of CAMPaM
To create an awareness of complementary medicine as a support system
To explain the relationship between CAM and Pastoral Ministry
To explain various systems, models, applications etc that are available and beneficial to chaplains and ministers of healing
To provide tips on how to defeat professional paranoia!

Highlights of the outcome from the program include but not limited to:

Knowledge of the basics of CAMPaM™
Knowledge of the common elements in CAM and PaM
Awareness of the various systems, models, applications etc that are available and beneficial to chaplains and ministers of healing
Knowledge of the basics of creating
Enough knowledge of CAMPaM to make a decision on whether to study CAMPaM for personal and professional growth or not
